5 Father’s Day Activities | Beach Cities Moms

If you are still looking for ideas to make the day extra special for dad (aside from all of the events happening here), we have rounded up 5 activities to do locally!

  1. Check out one of the local family friendly breweries- here are a few options that are for sure family friendly!:

Common Space

Los Angeles Ale Works

SoCal Vibes Co Brewery

Far Field

Smog City

Project Barley

Hop Saint

Brouwerij West

2. Pick up breakfast burritos and hang at the beach.  Some great local spots for breakfast burritos:

Phanny’s

Brother’s

Baran’s

Malaga Cove Ranch Market

3. Rent a Duffy Boat and cruise through the marina! Duffy Boats are kid-friendly and hold 10-12 people.  You can bring your own food and drink on board (whatever you want!) and there are bluetooth speakers for music.  Max speed is approximately 7 mph so anyone with a valid driver’s license (and age 21+) can drive the boat!

The best place to rent duffys nearby is in Marina Del Rey or Newport Beach (out of Lido Village or Newport Harbor)

4. Rent an electric bike and cruise the strand! A great place to rent is MB E-Bike (Manhattan and Redondo locations). Children’s seats are available!

5. Enjoy nature!  There are so many beautiful places to hike/nature walk, or just set up a picnic and relax!  Here are a few great ones:

Bluff Top Trail at Terrenea

Ocean Trails Reserve at Trump National Golf Course

South Coast Botanic Gardens

Wilderness Park

Abalone Cove

George F Canyon
