How many kids do you have and what are their ages?

I am the mother of two boys, Benjamin is 7 and Griffin is almost 4.

What are your favorite local things to do with your kids?

My kids and I love to be out in nature: we regularly go to the beach, hike locally around Malaga Cove, Frog Creek, Del Cerro, love running around the South Coast Botanic Gardens, Terranea, and Trump. We also are regulars at all the local farmers markets and parks!

What do you like about living in the South Bay and why did you decide to raise your family here?

My husband and I were both born and raised in the South Bay so both of our families are here – which is why we are still here. I love living walking distance to the beach and I love all of the communities we have become a part of. I’ve connected with so many amazing, aligned mothers, homeschool families and friends.

Tell us about your different offerings to women in this community.

My offerings are always evolving – currently I offer a comprehensive childbirth education class that I co-created called The Prepared Pregnancy Series; I teach a public prenatal yoga class and offer private yoga + functional movement sessions for pregnant and new moms; I host a variety of Mother’s circles and community gatherings; and my favorite now is hosting Mother’s Blessing Ceremonies.

What is your inspiration behind these offerings?

My inspiration behind my offerings is to support the Mother and offer connection and guidance physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I believe that when a Mother feels seen and supported and connected to her highest Self, she will parent in a more conscious and present way – her child(ren) will greatly benefit – and these children will go on to change our world.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

Community is everything to me. I have been blessed to meet so many people that I have aligned with and in turn, have been able to connect so many with one another. It’s so easy for me and brings me so much joy. My sister-in-law told me that what I do is called being a Super-Connecter – I am so here for that!

How do you juggle work and motherhood?

Short answer is that I don’t really. Some days I’m flowing so well with work and being a mom and other days I’m just praying I make it to bedtime. On my successful days, I have help – I schedule work stuff when my husband is home or when my mom can come over. I don’t over commit myself and choose to work on things that are in alignment.

What does a typical weekday look like for you?

I have two types of days – two days a week I get my kids off to preschool/homeschool enrichment classes and the other days we are together all day. Both begin with a (very) short time of meditation or breathing for me, then making breakfast and putting together snacks/lunch for the day. I either drop my kids off and go for a solo hike/coffee shop for computer work/hang out with my husband OR we pack up for an adventure and meet up with friends. Most days we are home for rest/quiet time and hang around the house in the afternoon until dinner, bath and bedtime.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?

It’s so cliché, but to enjoy and soak in every single day because it goes by in a blink of an eye. As I sit here typing this, it brings tears to my eyes thinking that my boys are already 7 and 4. And I know this afternoon, there will be moments of chaos and I’ll be looking forward to putting them to bed😆
